Mmmmm Danish.

March 14, 2009

On what planet is homemade cinnamon buns this easy to make? This was a recipe from my Blue Eggs and Yellow Tomato cookbook, and it was an amazing first try for this book – easy and they turned out beautiful. We’ll get to how they tasted in a minute.

Other then the active dry yeast, which I somehow don’t typically keep in the house, everything I needed for this recipe was a kitchen staple, and even with a bit of wait time for rising, etc. there’s no kneading required, and they did turn out quite pretty. And every ingredient was picked up locally. And points to me for making good breakfast for tomorrow.

****Updated. The Taste: Fresh out of the oven, these guys were glorious. Warm, gooey, perfectly muffin-y. The next morning…not so much. Seriously. See “how they tasted” from above. But drats, they were so pretty. The hunt for the perfect homemade cinnamon bun continues.
