Recession Proof Philly V: Derek’s in Manayunk

June 30, 2009

Manayunk gets all sorts of love from me for being just that much closer to the ‘burbs, but still accessible for you fine city folk.

And Derek’s on Main Street always gets a lot of love. When the husband and I were considering a huge overhaul of wedding plans from the 120+ guest list that was feeling a little unmanageable to a more reasonable 25 peoples, this was the first place we looked and probably the spot we would’ve settled on. Particularly if it had been a mouth dropping $18 a head.

For anyone who feels slighted that we didn’t go with this lovely option B for the wedding festivities (3 years later – get over it already!), now is the ideal time to get yourself to Derek’s anytime this summer for their Recession Proof dining offer: a three-course prix fixe menu for just $18, all summer long. Oooo, and wines by the glass for the price of your 17 adjective pre-recession morning latte: $5. Plus $3 Lager drafts.
