Peaces – Fifer Orchards, Wyoming DE
Blueberries – Hasmmonton, NJ
Romaine Lettuce – Flaim Farms, Vineland, NJ
Cucumbers – Lancaster County, PA
Corn – Gaventa Farms, Logan Township, NJ
Red Scallions – Landisdale Farms, Jonestown, PA
Onion Rolls– South Philadelphia, PA

Cheese – Mozzarella Balls – South Philadelphia, PA

Angus Ground Sirloin – Buck Run Farm, Chester County, PA

Due to the holiday, Greensgrow had everyone picking up their CSA today (instead of the Thursday and Saturday split), and the husband was on his own as far as picking everything up.

The peaches and blueberries are particularly exciting – they’re just a sure fire sign that it’s actually, for real, summer. Rain be damned. And I’ve noticed that anything out of Fifer Orchards in Wyoming Delaware are kind of amazing.

The red scallions are going to be this week’s challenge in a relatively easy week of produce, I think, mainly since I do not have a clue what they are. My CSA lovingly include a description that they are the very early shoots of traditional globe or red onions, and it sounds like I can use them just as I would any other onion or onion-like products, but I’m thinking a peach salsa.
